A mechanism for community participation and proliferation of the BotFrens ecosystem!

Details

Bleep bloop! We are BotFrens and we help artists, museums, marketplaces, and DAOs automate their social media via bots. Our friendly robot app powers hundreds of social media accounts for customers like Foundation, Rarible, Nouns DAO, Nouns Builder, etc. Every month we share hundreds of thousands of posts for an audience of over 6.5M followers :)


Why DAO?

The BotFrens DAO will serve as a mechanism for community participation in BotFrens development and proliferation. In addition, the DAO will act as a sponsorship vehicle for up-and-coming artists and NFT projects who could use a botfren but can’t afford to.

Help us build the best social automation product for Web3 and in return we will provide token-holders with long-term utility, beautiful art, and all kinds of other goodies:

  • Access to BotFrens premium (currently $1,200/yr)
  • The inside track on development and new features


ART by Greta Gremplin

The incredibly-talented Greta Gremplin has agreed to create a distinct set of Nounish and Robot-themed traits for the DAO. We have also invited several prominent artists from the community to collab on this project and will provide more details on those soon :) And finally, all art will be CC0 and ready for you to mix and remix. You can see samples of Greta’s work below or here.


Use of Funds

  • 6 ETH - Fund Greta to make art!
  • 9 ETH - Integrate Token Gated access to botfrens.com.
  • ~ 2 ETH - DAO Launch
  • The remaining ETH will be deposited into the DAO treasury.

Once launched, it will be up to the DAO members to steer this DAO and find the best way forward. LFG!


Team

For the past seven years, Andrei and Cody have been using bots to help artists, museums, and art marketplaces share their collections on social media. Their work is featured on Twitter’s Dev Portal, WIRED, ArtNews, Observer, Apollo, and other top-tier publications. Through BotFrens, Andrei, Cody, along with the newest team member, lilpizza.eth, aim to bring their bot tech to creators in the web3 and DAO space.


Team Token Allocation

Every 10th token for the first 5 years of the DAO (Token ids #0, #10, #20, #30 and so on) will be automatically sent to the BotFrens core team multisig - botfrens.eth
