Voting in favor with my Gnars and the delegation of friends who support this prop. Aloha Luiz, This isn't the place for discussing proposals; it's for voting. That's what the thread is for, but I'll need to speak here again after you've causing a fuzz in the thread, trying to sway others to vote against, and even insulting me about my work as a grant seeker. People can think for themselves. And clearly, bringing it up again here during the vote only shows that you're trying to influence people's votes even more. Everything is explained in the thread, but I'll need to address some points to prevent this vote influencing and let people think for themselves. Yes, Sunny is involved with Gnars, and he is close to the community, he has his gnars. Just because he's not present in the calls doesn't mean he's not doing his job. Just look at the work we're doing, even on international internationally. Regarding Nouns, Sunny is also involved. Recently, a video about him was released by Aubitoshi at a competition on Prainha. I recommend taking a look. You say I'm an intermediary for him, in your words a "middle man." However, I´m his manager. He is a high-level professional athlete who needs a team that includes, for example, his manager, coach, and press team. There's no professional without a team behind them. It's impossible to do everything alone and still focus on competing. We're doing serious work with an equally serious athlete. The costs of the documentary proposal don't need to be justified to you. You can take a look at the updates; everything is there. There's nothing to hide. There's an extra cost that isn't in the proposal, and we decided to earn less and add it: a PR team, paid for 3 months. About the surfboard, again: A standard material board would be up to $400 depending on the shaper, but fortunately, Sunny has one of the best shapers in Brazil working with him. It's a Full Carbon board (top-of-the-line material). Don't worry, surfguru will be contacted, by our PR no doubt about it. Sunny will love to do something with Surfguru. About the event, I think there might have been a misunderstanding on your part. It's not just a party. It's an open-air cinema at sunset. Drinks and music? Necessary. We need to bring some fun to the events too; they can't just be informative about the community. Just workshops with nothing more? I don't think that would be in the gnarly spirit. It's just my opinion, of course. About the financial aspects, Luiz, I understand your "good" intention to throw numbers in here. But I emphasize, humbly, that I know I deliver good work for the community. I have absolutely nothing to hide. About Nico (the jet ski rescuer) this is not the place again for this, he was sponsored by Gnars and continues working, even without funding. I really don't understand your opinion against it. In a few hours, a vote will begin on a project that you're part of, which involves a jet ski rescuer. I appreciate your response. The community needs more great ideas and fewer insults. Peace.

Don't take it personally, on the contrary, it's just a point of view. :) I agree with the points that skatehacker.eth, zimardrp.eth and luizhadad.eth, they raised important points for our community! From my perspective, I acknowledge your desire for Rickyday to assume the role of Sunny's manager. However, I believe it's essential for him to play a more active role in our meetings and developmental processes. I also advocate for his involvement in voting on various proposals and sharing his projects, ideas, and insights. Given his unique perspective as one of the few Black individuals in our community, his input holds particular value and can enrich our collective discussions. I really believe that this can inspire so many other people.

I would like to see other surfers of the community supporting this. So far we have none in the community thread. Not even Sunny. I see much more text than actual results in terms of numbers and community.

yooo. just love Sunny vibes... but I’m vote against. honestly, i didn’t liked how this proposal is rolling out without much input from the surfers and gnars community. it seems like there’s a conflict between supporting Sunny's achievements and staying true to the gnarly spirit DAO. all this material is much more Nouns than Gnars.. among other things that I don't agree with as a surfer and gnars athlete.. dears, If you want to know more about my opinion, tell me :)

Aloha Ricky and all the community, I appreciate that you came to the Governance call to talk about the prop and gather feedbacks. I will lay out some reasons here why I am voting agains this prop. Please keep in mind that this is not personal and that I am open to chat with you and keep things cool. I hope you keep sending more props to Gnars, but my intention here is to guide you with what I believe we should fund in the DAO, specially in regards to surfing. My biggest feedback: please bring Sunny closer from Gnars (and I suggest that you bring him closer from Nouns too). As a Manager, you're acting as an intermediary and Gnars is build by and for shredders. I'd love to see Sunny on a Governance call discussing his proposal with you on his side. We can make the calls in Portuguese if necessary and it would be awesome to have him onboard. I don't even know if he has a Gnar. If he doesn't, maybe you could do his onboarding proposal. I truly think that the 45k usd budget from the Nouns prop 512 is quite good, and it surprised me that you asked for more resources to make the IRL event. I appreciate people that over-deliver in their props. During the Governance call, you said that you're already dropping down the team's compensation from 1.5 ETH to 1 ETH each to hire a PR firm. Good on you, but 2 ETH for a PR firm is quite a lot of money. I hope they do a good job. At Surfguru we did not receive any press releases from them. When we do, we will be stoked to publish it. And I need to mention that caught my attention that the 4 people compensated with 1 ETH each are Sunny, his dad, you and Samira. You also said on the call that the objective of the event is to onboard new members. I don't like the "party" format to onboard new people. Parties are cool to create awareness, but if you'd like to onboard people, my suggestion would be to focus on meetups or workshops. It could have a much better cost-benefit for the DAO. Talking about cost-benefit, I appreciate when proposals come negotiating their costs. The Surfboard costing USD 950 as a giveaway sounded very expensive. Sunny as a pro athlete and sponsored by Hennek should have a better deal. I pay usd 250 on brand new my boards at cost price. My suggestion when you put such things in other proposals, is that you, as Sunny's manager, could/should negotiate the price with Hennek and get as least 30-50% discount on it. Please be in mind that I've got nothing against you personally. All we got is different ideas and perspectives. We've had our disagreements in Nico's proposal, which I still hold my position that the kind of jet sky rescuing that he does isn't an extreme sport. He's a good general ambassador, but not a shredder (in my perspective). Anyways, we have different ideas and perspectives, I generally speak out and I don't have a problem disagreeing in a constructive way. Hope you understand. Aloha
