# tl;dr: Farcaster DC Notifications for every Builder DAO for 3 ETH

Nekofar.eth has created some [amazing Farcaster tools for Lil Nouns](https://lilnouns.wtf/vote/245).  This proposal seeks to have him create a direct cast (DC) notification service for all DAOs on Builder protocol.  This is a feature **regularly asked for by Purple members**, and has **doubled governance participation in Lil Nouns**, so it seems like a great way to re-engage users to Builder. 

From a user perspective, it would work like this:
* A user follows a specific Farcaster account (ie. @BuilderBot)
* The user buys Builder NFTs for their favourite DAOs (Purple, Gnars, etc)
* Whenever a DAO proposal goes up, @BuilderBot DCs every user who has that DAO’s NFT in their Farcaster-connected wallet with a link to the proposal
    * There may be multiple DC reminders
    * Users can opt out by unfollowing/muting @BuilderBot

Some technical considerations:
* We will need to ensure that this product is set up on Builder-owned infrastructure (ie servers, FC accounts, and whatever else is needed)
* Multiple DAOs will make this a more complex execution than what was done for Lil Nouns, so we will start with a simple execution (ie you get notifications for all DAOs you’re part of), and could possibly follow up with a way for users to configure notifications in the future.
* To prevent spam, we will only enable this for the top 10 DAOs (with the option to add more later)

# Northstar Check
**Builder DAO is dedicated to the creation and development of free and accessible DAO infrastructure as a public good.**

This proposal furthers that mission by helping our DAOs re-engage their members while integrating with Farcaster, which we believe will be a long-term broadcast infrastructure for DAOs. 

# Treasury Impact
For this execution, we request 3 ETH.  This is ~1.7% of the current treasury:
* 2 ETH will go to Nekofar.eth for the development work
* 1 ETH will go to 🌈links.eth for product management and coordination

# Team
The execution is modest, and the team is experienced:
* Nekofar.eth - Lil Nouns member/builder, Holder of Noun 1245, and member of Gnars
* 🌈links.eth - Builder DAO member, Lil Nouns member, 20 year developer/10 year product manager

Nekofar.eth is also the author of the Lil Nouns DC notification code, so is well suited to port this over to Builder.
