TL;DR: Six additional months with Millz as Resident Lead Developer
Accomplishments in My First Three Months
- Implemented an agile kanban workflow as a solo dev, playing all roles a 2-pizza team would typically do.
- Attended bi-weekly Ops Group meetings and BuilderDAO meetings to get up to speed quickly.
- Combined quantitative and qualitative approaches to understand user experiences and identify areas for improvement.
- Hired an artist to create a Nouns Builder-made DAO to genuinely experience the whole process of ideation to realization as part of a team firsthand.
- Followed up on a user suggestion to integrate with the new Ethereum hardware wallet phone, the dGen1.
- Found the missing docs repo, now hosted on our official Vercel server.
- Created BuilderDAO's open-source Github Org with a public kanban board and dedicated staging server.
- Fixed the WalletConnect feature and added support for many more browser wallets and Ledger wallet:

- Troubleshot issues related to images, simulating transactions, and other technical challenges.
- Held weekly office hours almost every Wednesday.
- Added the ability for DAOs to view any asset held in their treasury, not just Ether:

- Improved the appearance of proposed transactions from hexadecimal to human-readable with visual icons for every coin:

- Assisted contractors with PR reviews and deployments.
- Fixed dozens of small and big bugs discovered along the way.
Plan for the Next 6 Months
Over the next 6 months, I plan to:
- Complete all work currently in progress, limited until the full DAO transition.
- Continue focusing on troubleshooting issues for DAO members.
- Implement global search functionality for nouns.build to make it easier to locate DAOs and members.
- Collaborate with the NNS team to finish integrating Noggles and the
$nogs
token for Nouns Builder.
- Gauge interest for visual features like dark mode.
- Maintain weekly office hours and regularly check for issues in Discord.
- Add automatic alerts based on custom metrics to ensure prompt issue detection.
- Attend Ops Group and BuilderDAO meetings to stay in sync with the DAO's operations.
- Enhance user experience by upgrading key aspects of the platform, such as improving navigation and streamlining the DAO creation process.
- Collaborate with other developers and DAO members on projects that improve nouns.build.
- Stretch goal: utilize LayerZero for DAOs wishing to migrate from one L2 to another L2.
In conclusion, my overarching goal is to create the perfect, user-friendly, no-code yet still customizable DAO-building experience. I want anyone to be able to quickly spin up their own nounish DAO and keep the focus on bringing their ideas to life. This will remain my focus over the next six months and likely another after that. I will know I have finally accomplished my goal when you don't need me anymore, and that is a good thing!
North Star Check
This proposal aligns with BuilderDAO's mission to create and develop free and accessible DAO infrastructure as a public good. By ensuring the protocol continues to provide for our DAOs, we further this mission and empower users to bring their ideas to life.
