Background & Context
Over the past several months, I have been coordinating directly with ETH Boulder and ETHDenver organizers to secure meaningful participation opportunities for Nouns Builder and its ecosystem.
As a result of that work:
- A half-day talk and workshop series on DAOs & Coordinative Tooling was accepted at ETH Boulder
- ETHDenver agreed to waive standard sponsorship barriers, allowing Nouns Builder to participate in the 2026 hackathon
- ETHDenver has made a private lounge space available upon request for community events and activations
These opportunities are time-sensitive and require on-the-ground coordination to fully realize their value.
Scope of Work
1. Events Coordinator Residency
The residency is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for:
- Representing Nouns Builder on-site at ETH Boulder and ETHDenver
- Coordinating programming and space usage for Nouns Builder communities
- Acting as a point of contact between event organizers, builders, and partner DAOs
- Supporting builders navigating talks, hackathon participation, and shared spaces
- Ensuring Nouns Builder shows up in an organized, welcoming, and values-aligned way
2. ETH Boulder Programming (Feb 13–15)
- Curate and run a half-day series of talks and workshops focused on:
- DAOs & Coordinative Tooling
- Governance infrastructure
- Lessons from DAOs built on Nouns Builder
- Support participating speakers and communities
- Position Nouns Builder as a practical coordination layer for onchain communities
3. ETHDenver Presence & Lounge Activations (Feb 16–21)
- Coordinate Nouns Builder presence across:
- Stage talks and builder sessions
- MakerSpace participation
- Informal meetups and working sessions
- Utilize a private lounge space (available upon request) for:
- Community gatherings
- Builder demos and discussions
- Follow-up conversations that turn attention into relationships
This ensures meaningful value regardless of hackathon outcomes.
4. ETHDenver Hackathon Participation
ETHDenver has agreed to allow Nouns Builder participation in the 2026 hackathon with waived sponsorship barriers.
- A 1 ETH prize pool will be used to:
- Incentivize Builder-aligned experimentation
- Ensure meaningful participation given short lead time
- Meet minimum prize pool thresholds
Hackathon participation is additive, not required, for the residency to be successful.
Budget Request — 1.63 ETH Total
- 1 ETH — Hackathon prize pool
- 0.53 ETH — Events Coordinator per diem
- 0.10 ETH — Contingency buffer
- To account for ETH/USD price volatility and ensure prize pool minimums are met at time of distribution
