Overview

Building African DAO’s (BaD) is an ongoing initiative in Nairobi and coastal Kenya that applies nouns.build tooling to grassroots communities. We are midway through our launch campaign, with the PizzaSafari side-event completed, and are now preparing for the next wave of activations. This launch is not a stand-alone effort—it is the first step toward the larger vision of the First 500 Campaign, BuildaDAO’s flagship accelerator to empower Africa’s first 500 decentralized founders. The long-term goal is to deploy 500 organizations on mainnet, train 10,000 innovators by 2030, and engage 9 African countries by 2026. Builder DAO’s support for the current launch phase directly connects to this continental vision. We request financial support from Builder DAO to amplify this upcoming phase—covering marketing, educational resources, technical infrastructure, and brand presence that will ensure these activations have lasting impact.

Why Builder DAO?

  • Timely Support: Sponsorship ensures that momentum from PizzaSafari carries into deeper onboarding and case studies starting Sept 16.

  • Ecosystem Growth: Sponsorship links Builder DAO to the First 500 Campaign, positioning Builder at the heart of Africa’s emerging DAO ecosystem.
  • Content & Storytelling: These activations will generate documented case studies, recap videos, and shareable social clips with Builder DAO featured as the enabler of real-world DAOs.

Connection to the First 500 Campaign

  • Building 10,000 decentralized organizations across Africa by 2030.
  • Providing structured mentorship, DAO starter kits, and AI-powered tools for real-world impact.
  • Empowering Africa’s youngest and fastest-growing population (60% under 25) to lead the future of decentralized governance, commerce, and culture.
  • Bridging the gap between Web2 limitations and Web3 potential with transparent, fair, and community-driven DAO infrastructure.
Builder DAO’s sponsorship today makes Builder the visible partner in launching Africa’s first wave of real-world DAOs, tying grassroots activations to a continental-scale vision.
